After breakfast, leave the Ugandan capital and drive to Fort Portal, a lovely town resting in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon, and famous for its tea plantations.
Enjoy a packed lunch along the way as you pass the Crater Lakes region on your way to the secluded Primate Lodge within the Kibale Forest National Park.
Primate Lodge in Kibale is an exclusive eco-lodge situated in the heart of Kibale Forest National Park. It is surrounded by a lush tropical forest that is home to 13 different species of primates, including the chimpanzees.
All of our nine spacious and en-suite Luxury Cottages, each secluded deep in the forest for maximum privacy and a natural ‘living in nature’ feel, come complete with 2x Double size Bed or 1x King Size Bed, a sitting area with two comfortable arm chairs, a reading table and an adjoining large veranda with excellent views to the forest.
Other lodge amenities include a spacious dining terrace, a well-stocked bar, complimentary room service, a secluded lounge area with a small library, an evening camp fire, laundry service (at a small fee) as well as free WiFi in the public areas.

After an early breakfast, we drive down to the park offices for registration and briefing before starting the chimpanzee trekking activity.
This primate walk normally takes about 3 – 4 hours and the other primates that we are likely to see include the Red-tailed, Black and white Colubus, Red Colubus, Velvet monkeys and baboons, there are also a variety of bird species among other wildlife.
Return to the lodge to relax and enjoy lunch and later in the afternoon, at 2:00pm go for an optional swamp walk at Bigodi wetland. Be on the lookout for primates and the rare great blue turaco, one of the 138 bird species found in the swamp area. This is an excellent walk as you might even see the rare Joyful Greenbul.

After breakfast, with our packed lunch, we check out and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
QENP is home to an incredible array of wildlife including almost 100 species of mammals, from hippos, elephants, leopards, lions, the elusive giant forest hog, the handsome Uganda kob to Chimpanzees in her Kyambura Gorge; all these in addition to over 600 bird species.

We enter the park through the Ishasha sector famous for the tree climbing lions, we do a mini game drive as we proceed on to the northern sector of the park. We arrive in the park and check into our accommodation.
In the afternoon, depart on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and we will have a morning game drive for yet another view of wildlife.
We head to Ishasha Wilderness Camp for check in and later in the afternoon, we will go on a game drive to the Ishasha plains for the resident tree climbing lions plus a diversity of wildlife. The landscape in this sector is unique compared to that in other parts of Queen Elizabeth national park. It’s breathtaking seeing these lions lazily resting on tree branches targeting their prey. Later in the afternoon we come back to the camp, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we will have a morning game drive for yet another view of wildlife.

After an early morning breakfast, we depart on our last game drive in QENP and drive onwards to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
Lunch will be enjoyed en-route.
Arrive at Bwindi in the evening and check-in to the service of Buhoma Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Wake up and prepare for the unforgettable experience!
After an early breakfast transfer to the park HQs for pre-Gorilla tracking briefing and about the gorilla family you will track then.
08:00 AM: set off into the forest in the footsteps of the Mountain Gorillas. You will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas.
The trekking can take from 1 to 5 hours but sometimes it might take long hours, depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest. - The terrain is rough and at times muddy. Although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world. Cameras and plenty of fast speed film is recommended. It can rain at a few minutes’ notice; hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film. It is important to take plenty of water.

After breakfast, check out and enjoy a short transfer to the lodge airstrip for your charter flight to Entebbe.
