This morning after breakfast and check out you make your way to Oudtshoorn via Route 62.
Along the beautiful country side road you will pass along the way Montagu, Barrydale, Ladysmith and Calitzdorp.
Oudtshoorn, the feather capital of the world, is known for its Ostriches. Upon your arrival you can part take in an Ostrich Farm tour. A knowledgeable guide will take you on a very interesting interpretive excursion with the ostriches at the Cango Ostrich Farm.
After the ostrich farm tour, you make your way to your overnight accommodation at La Plume Boutique Hotel.

After breakfast, you visit the well-known Cango Caves. It is one of the great natural wonders of the world, sculptured by Mother Nature through the ages; fascinating limestone formations with a wide variety of colours.
You can then do a quick stopover at Kobus se Gat for lunch to enjoy some mouth-watering traditional South African food before we begin yourself drive journey across the mighty Swartberg Mountain. The Swartberg Mountain Pass is considered to be the most beautiful mountain pass in the world!
You visit the picturesque little town of Prince Albert and then return to your overnight accommodation via the incredibly beautiful Meiringspoort with its soaring cliffs and folded rocks, constantly changing colour as you move through sunlight and shade.

You depart after breakfast via the beautiful Outeniekwa Mountain Pass to Knysna on the garden Route of South Africa. According to TripAdvisor’s 2008 Travellers’ Choice, Knysna is one of the Garden Route’s best-known travel destinations and named one of the Top 100 destinations in the world.
Upon arrival in Knysna you hop on board a ferry across the lake to the Featherbed Nature Reserve close to the Knysna Heads. The skipper is a specialist guide and will take you on a 4×4 vehicle with a trailer through the reserve, sharing all the interesting aspects of the area. Enjoy lunch, which is included on the island before returning ashore.
Remainder of the day is at your leisure.

After breakfast you make your way to Mossel Bay. Situated halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, beautiful Mossel Bay is a coastal village and harbour of the World-Famous Garden Route. This popular holiday town is surrounded by a sunbathed peninsula and the refreshing waters of the Indian Ocean.
Back in 1488 a man called Bartholomew Dias threw anchor in the Bay of St Blaize. "Aguada de Sào Bras" as it was originally known. This town was then developed as a busy export harbour for wool, ochre and ostrich feathers. The many beautiful historical buildings in the town are evidence of the long-ago happenings which the town as it is today. In 1601 the Dutch navigator, Paulus van Caerden, renamed it Mossel Bay, as he found that mussels were a most welcome addition to the diet of his crew. Today, mussels gathered in Mossel Bay each spring are rated by gourmets among the finest in the world.

The Knysna Waterfront is a central point of activity in Knysna. From here one can board a sunset cruise or ferry ride around the lagoon, do some shopping, enjoy a meal in one of the many restaurants and find accommodation for your stay in Knysna.

After breakfast you make our way to Addo Elephant Park near Port Elizabeth. We do a quick stop at Bloukrans Bridge to witness some brave souls undertake the highest bungee jump in the world – 216 meters! You are welcome to participate…if you dare!
You stop at Tsitsikamma National Park at Storms river mouth and walk through the rain forest and across the hang bridge that crosses the Storms River. This area with its breathtaking views and incredible biodiversity makes it one of the most beautiful coastlines in the country.
You check in at your overnight accommodation as the day comes to an end. You have the opportunity to freshen up before dinner is served in the restaurant.

If it is elephants you want to see then head to Addo Elephant Park. Now South Africa's third largest national reserve, Addo Elephant National Park lies in the malaria-free Sundays River valley in the Eastern Cape.
The Park stretches from the semi-arid Karoo of the north, over the Zuurberg Mountains and down through the Sundays River valley to the coast, to between the mouths of the Sundays and Bushman's rivers. Addo is home to one of the densest African Elephant populations on earth, roughly 550 of them.
Spend the day exploring the park.

Sadly, you make your way to Port Elizabeth Airport where your guide will bid you farewell as you take your flight back home remembering all too well why we say......
